El objetivo de
este trabajo fue evaluar en forma exploratoria la validez factorial de la
prueba de expresión verbal del Torrance Test of Creative Thinking Forma
B como detector y estimador del pensamiento creativo en 100 sujetos de 15 a 25
años de edad de la provincia de Entre Ríos, Argentina. Se realizaron análisis
factoriales de primer orden a partir de correlaciones tetracóricas teniendo en
cuenta cada una de las respuestas dadas por los sujetos. El análisis factorial
de segundo orden se realizó a partir de los puntajes totales por dimensión (flexibilidad,
originalidad y fluidez) a través de la matriz de correlación de
Pearson. En relación con los análisis factoriales de primer orden, se observó
que en cada respuesta se presentaron los tres componentes que propone medir el
instrumento. En cuanto al análisis de segundo orden, en todas las actividades
se presentaron de manera clara y sin complejidad factorial las tres dimensiones
del test.

Preliminary
Examination of the Construct Validity of Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking.

The goal of this study was to analyze in
an exploratory fashion the factorial validity of the verbal expression test of
Torrance Test of Creative Thinking Form B, as a detector and estimator of
creative thought in 100 participants between ages 15 and 25 from the Province of
Entre Ríos, Argentina. First order factorial analyses were conducted from
tetrachoric correlations, taking into account each one of the answers given by
the participants. The second order factorial analysis was fulfilled based on
the total scores for each dimension (flexibility, originality and
fluidity) through a Pearson correlation matrix. Regarding the first
order factorial analyses the three components claimed to be assessed by the
test were observed in each answer. As for the second order analysis the three
dimensions of the test were manifested clearly and without any factorial
complexity.
