A importância do amor na prática clínica de Binswanger

Objetivo: o presente artigo tem como objetivo refletir, por meio de um estudo teórico, acerca do modo como a tonalidade do amor se faz presente na clínica psiquiátrica de Ludwig Binswanger. o texto, de início, apresenta a forma como o pensamento romântico e a atmosfera filosófica da primeira metade do século XX buscam de algum modo centralizar a questão afetiva, em detrimento da ênfase exclusiva na razão – imposta pelo movimento iluminista. tal guinada filosófica parece sustentar o empreendimento binswangeriano na forma como o psiquiatra suíço prioriza a tonalidade do amor naquilo que se refere à sua capacidade de cura. demonstra-se a partir da análise de três casos —ellen West, ilse e suzanne urban— o modo como Binswanger desdobra o tema do amor, bem como suas consequências terapêuticas. a partir de tal apontamento observamos que, ao tematizar o amor, Binswanger permanece com algumas lacunas em sua ação terapêutica e nas consequências de suas ações. Conclusões: o artigo conclui que a relação de Binswanger com o tema do amor se insere na tentativa de que o paciente acolha e aceite o outro enquanto dimensão de radical alteridade, e isto na sua relação com a retomada da vida comunitária. É isso que constitui o telos psicoterápico de Binswanger.

The Importance of Love in Binswanger's Clinical Practice 
Objetive: this article aims to reflect, through a theoretical study, on the way in which the tonality of love is present in the psychiatric clinic of Ludwig Binswanger. the text, at first, presents the way in which romantic thought and the philosophical atmosphere of the first half of the 20th century seek in some way to centralize the affective question, to the detriment of the exclusive emphasis on reason - imposed by the enlightenment movement. such a philosophical shift seems to support the Binswangerian enterprise in the way that the swiss psychiatrist prioritizes the tonality of love in terms of its healing capacity. From the analysis of three cases —ellen West, ilse and Suzanne urban— it is demonstrated how Binswanger unfolds the theme of love, as well as its therapeutic consequences. From this point of view, it is indicated that, in the theme of love, Binswanger remains with some gaps in the way of his therapeutic action and in the consequences of his actions. Conclusions: the article concludes that Binswanger's relationship with the theme of love is part of the patient's attempt to welcome and accept the other as a dimension of radical otherness and this in his relationship with the resumption of community life. this constitutes the telos of Binswanger's psychotherapy.
